ENERJOY Comfort-Check®
The ENERJOY COMFORT-CHECK METER is an instant
digital read out tool that senses heat and cold just like
the human body. The digital display instantly
shows the room air temperature and the surface, or mean radiant
temperatures, which are averaged to produce the index of human
thermal comfort, known as operative temperature. The relative
humidity is also shown. The normal range of space conditioning
temperatures encountered is accommodated by the temperature range
of 32°F to 140°F. Wide angle measurement of surface
temperatures assures an accurate mean radiant temperature reading
for the area of interest. The ENERJOY COMFORT-CHECK METER
model featuring date monitoring with Windows 95 down loading
capability affords twenty four hour confirmation of building
comfort as well as averaged surface temperature performance.
According to SSHC President Richard Watson, "Building architects, engineers designers, builders, and managers, have a tool to demonstrate the comfort success of their efforts. The ENERJOY COMFORT-CHECK METER is state of the art, because it represents the first practical opportunity to demonstrate the actual human thermal comfort provided." The company is currently introducing two models: The ENERJOY COMFORT-CHECK METER model TSSHC-CCM-1; and the TSSHC-CCM-2, with data acquisition. Soft belt or shoulder pouch is also offered.
